If the acting player's skill matches the rung's skill โ†’ the rung stabilizes and that player climbs past it. The Level Wheel under the ladder fills in as rungs stabilize โ€” a full circle means the level is nearly won!

Climb Together โ€” The Rope Rule

All players share one rope: nobody can climb more than 4 rungs above the lowest player โ€” trying just strains the rope (+3 tension). Gaps over 2 rungs cause double spread tension each turn. Mismatch = +5, Override = +2, Boost = +1 rope strain. At 100, the ladder collapses! And remember: ๐Ÿšง Boost can't push anyone past a rung that hasn't been stabilized โ€” you must earn the climb with skill matches!

Relieve Tension

Stabilizing a rung relieves โˆ’5 tension. Keep everyone on the same rung for โˆ’2 perfect formation bonus each turn. When things get dicey, use ๐Ÿง˜ Steady the Rope for a big โˆ’12 relief (recharges over 4 turns). Clearing a level grants โˆ’15!

Every player must climb past rung 12 to reach the top. The game is endless โ€” each level reshuffles the rungs with new skills and the Level Wheel starts a fresh circle. But beware: ๐Ÿ”ฅ every new level increases all tension gains by +20% โ€” mismatches, overrides, boosts, and rope strain all hit harder. How high can you climb before the tension wins?
